Stop The Reoccurring Violence?

Domestic and family violence has no set time line, victims are often abused again by the flawed system.
We believe 10 days paid leave should be introduced as mandatory for those employed.
These simple introductions are not rocket science.

The Unrecognizable Damage

The damage may not be physically visible.

But it can be either lethal or life changing.

I for one can confirm my visible marks/bruises were not that severe.

But the internal damage is something I will deal with for the rest of my life.

Choking /strangulation is a weapon.

Government considering passing this as law.

What’s to Consider Seriously.

Domestic Violence Funding Cuts

New non people elect Prime Minister Scott Morrison cuts vital domestic violence funding.

Putting at risk victims in a very dangerous position, this coincides with government issued domestic violence prevention television campaign.

Hypocritical is an understatement.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is domestic violence awareness month, my first question why is only one month in twelve dedicated to awareness and why October?

My next question is when?

When will you honor your fiduciary duty of care?

When will you put ego to the side and be proactive in wiping out an epidemic that is killing women and children in staggering numbers?

I understand that campaigning is important, however I believe more refuges and immediate financial aid is more beneficial
A campaign does not provide shelter or a warm meal for a victim.

So many of us are asked Why didn’t you just leave?

I believe you know the answer to that insulting question, so why are you not acting on it?

When will our judicial system address their blatant flaws ?

When will those in a position of authority actually execute their power ?

When will the abuser be held accountable

When will the victims feel safe ?

When will you sit down with women like me and listen, because women like me know exactly what we need and it’s not a fifty million dollar captain cook statue/ceremony.

I am requesting you find a few hours in your schedule to meet with me, listen to me.

Knowledge is power and I believe I can teach you and give you insight on how we can make life saving changes in our broken system.

My name is Rach Mac I am a broken crayon and I colour beautifully

Broken Crayons Still Colour Christmas Drive

Our Broken Crayons Christmas Drive is in full swing

A very generous member dropped off this huge bundle, making sure our broken crayons kids wake on Christmas morning to a gift.

To keep things simple if you want to donate please choose a gift, wrap, write boy/girl and age.
Or you can help with Xmas food hampers for our broken crayons mums doing it a bit tough.

Christmas is a wonderful time of year but for those who have escaped domestic and or family violence. Christmas is another thing to worry about.

Broken Crayons are doing our best to take this worry away.

Thank You to those who are supporting our Christmas Drive.

The Red Heart Campaign

For those who insist on asking what these women were doing before they were killed:

  • Toyah Cordingley – Walking her dog!
  • Erana Nahu – Sleeping in her bed!
  • Jacqueline Francis – Doing her job!
  • Kristie Powell – Caring for her infant son!
  • Dannyll Goodsell – Relaxing in her home!
  • Nicole Cartwright – Catching public transport!
  • Gayle Potter – Running her nursery!

Nothing they did resulted in their murders! The only people responsible for their deaths are their killers!
