(CWSW)represent specialist women’s domestic & family violence services, community based women’s health, and sexual assault services. They work alongside organisations & practitioners who provide specialist support services across these three sectors.
Headed by their director the amazing Dr Alison Evans. Today was our first meeting The topic for discussion was the overview of the Department of Justices consultation on legislative responses to coercive control in Western Australia.
Those who know me know I do not hold back & I was true to form today. Coercive control is where domestic/ family violence begins & it is imperative we start at the beginning. Being extremely complex it is vital we take our time & get it right the first time to ensure we are thorough in our deliverance.
I will continue to voice my opinions, ideas and solutions, and along with my board colleagues ensure we implement and are heard.
I am feeling very privileged to be given this opportunity & as previously stated the time for change is long overdue & I give you my word I plan to head that change with everything I have in me.
