So this happened yesterday & I was so moved & shocked, I needed to process before I made the announcement.
My work in the domestic violence sector I’ve never asked for anything in return except for those requiring assistance to use their manners.
Broken Crayons Still Colour Foundation & myself have won a number of prestigious awards this year and finalist for awards next year which is incredible
So yesterday when I opened my emails rather late I was actually blown away I re-read the said email a number of times then I received a phone call from LG Local Legends marketing manager to confirm & congratulate me.
I am so thrilled to be named National Local Legend & the prize is actually amazing and next year they will be doing a lot of PR for Broken Crayons Still Colour Foundation which is incredibly amazing
So this just happened oh my goodness!
I am a finalist for Women Of The Year Awards – Wellbeing Magazine.
Words cannot describe how incredibly grateful I am. Whilst my journey through domestic violence almost killed me & let’s be honest there are still days I struggle, I am so proud I just didn’t repair, recover & move on with my life, I dedicated my life to assisting vulnerable victims of domestic/family violence by founding Broken Crayons Still Colour Foundation.
Thank You so very much , I am so honoured
