Fantastic news. Many times, men are the forgotten survivors in FDV. They carry levels of shame and many men that I have spoken with over the years have expressed frustration that there are no supports for them. Further – they have minimised the extent of FDV due to the cultural circumstances of men as survivors and often don’t want to talk about it as “it doesn’t happen to men”.
I am a champion of men who need a safe space to stay, counselling and Mental Health and it always broke my heart when I couldn’t find anywhere to refer to a survivor to.
